Peppermint oil is derived from the peppermint plant . While the aroma of peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita) may be synonymous in some minds with the candy, it's a lot more than flavoring. The essential oil of peppermint has been used for centuries for digestive problems, respiration and more. The oil is created by steam distilling the leaves, stems and flower buds, and the aroma of a quality brand can be very sweet, and obviously minty, in nature.
Benefits and Usage
Peppermint essential oil is a very effective natural painkiller and muscle relaxant. It is especially helpful in soothing an aching back, sore muscles and melting away a tension headache.
Peppermint oil is extremely helpful for hair care since it provides a cooling effect on the head, to eliminate dandruff and lice add 1-2 drops in shampoo or conditioner.

How to Use
Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice.
