Applications : (R,R)-(-)-N,N'-Bis(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)-1,2-cyclohexanediaminomanganese(III) chloride can be  used as a catalyst for asymmetric epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins,  asymmetric α-hydroxylation of silyl enol ethers, and synthesis of the taxol side chain,and cis-1-amino-2-indanol (which is used in the preparation of a series of potent HIV-1 protease inhibitory peptides)
